Don't you L-O-V-E it? Don't you think your life would be so much more organized if you had one?
How is it that Pottery Barn Kids somehow always convinces me that I MUST have said object if I want to be a good mom? Ummm...maybe it's just me.
Either way, I wanted it. But I didn't have the $49 plus shipping the big wigs at Pottery Barn wanted for it!
So what does any desperate mom on a budget do? I got creative...
Found these buckets in the dollar section at Target. Look at the cute flower detail on them? And Target didn't even charge me extra for the cute flower detail...still just a dollar!

Used my latest favorite red spray paint - Colonial Red by Rust-oleum. (and yes, I am that lazy that I didn't rotate the picture for you.) Sprayed 2 coats and the buckets were looking scrumptious!
Then I got really resourceful. See that white scalloped Lazy Susan the buckets are on? It is actually a cake decorating lazy susan, purchased 6 years ago for a cake decorating class my mom and I took. You can get them at Hobby Lobby for $4 but since I already had this one - it was free!
So what do you think? Sydney loves it, we leave it on our kitchen table at all times so that she can color when the feels so moved!
How much did I spend?
- 3 Buckets $1 at Target
- Spinny Cake decorating thingy from Hobby Lobby or Michaels - free from my kitchen
- Red Spray Paint - free
Total Spent: $3
