Since going into a large amount of medical debt several years ago, my husband Chip and I have started the envelope system. We set a budget each month and use cash for as much as we can. And when the cash is gone, it is gone!
That is a picture of the wallet with envelopes that I use. Except mine is black, not red. But I like the red better, why didn't they have red when I bought mine?Check out Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, he has a cool blog and gives you advice.
Ok, so as I was saying, I am not a good saver. I have never understood the whole clipping coupons thing, it just never seemed worth it to me. Why should I spend hours trying to match up coupons only to save 40 cents? Seriously, I have better things to do with my time. Like I could be writing this blog, or redecorating a room, baking chocolate chip cookies or even cleaning out a closet (just kidding!). But clipping coupons? No thanks!
That is, until I stumbled upon Stephanie at Coupon Saving Game. I kid you not, I have tried doing these games before and it never worked, I hated it. But for some reason, Stephanie's tips just made sense to me AND because saving money is her talent, she does all the work for me. She finds all of the great deals, posts them on her site and even tells me where to find the coupon to go with it. I do nothing except log on and do what she tells me to do.

I just completed my first month and I saved almost $150 - and I know for sure it was that much because that is how much we had left over in our envelopes!
Aren't you so glad that anyone can turn their passion into a business to help others? The Coupon Saving Game helps me save money so I can buy more trim for my pillows!! Wait until you see my new pillows... they are green leopard with a chocolate brown brush fringe...to die for!
Thanks Stephanie for using your gift to help me save more money to decorate my house..umm I mean have more money to put in the bank!
Good for you! It is easier to save when all the cash is gone.
