Christmas Trees and Presents

I know that Christmas is almost over, but according to my clock I have 4 hours left!  4 hours to dream about all the cookies I could have made and all of the cookies I want to make for next year!

I made these cutie batootie trees to take to our neighbors.

I was most proud of the sanding sugar around the edges. Aren't they purtee? I bought that sanding sugar over a year ago and it has just been sitting there ever since. I do that a lot. Get super excited about a project....buy all the necessary "materials" and then once the excitement of the shopping trip is over...I lose my passion. I move on to the next big thing in my life. Always looking for something different. Why is that?

Why do I do that? I have been thinking about that a lot lately. Trying to figure out why I am the master at starting projects and the Queen of not finishing them. Something to think about I guess.

Anyhoo...

I also made these presents!

Chip took this cookie platter to work! The best compliment ever was when someone asked my man where I BOUGHT them from! What?! You kidder!

Clearly no one knows the real truth...that I have no idea what I am doing. Exhibit A:

My sad attempt at lettering. You might want to turn your head, it is like a bad wreck you just can't keep your eyes off!

And NO I didn't leave the cookie with the lettering on that platter...what do you think I am crazy! I decided to do the more honorable thing...eat it and get rid of the evidence.

I am much better at the over-all presentation than I am with the details. Kinda goes along with my strengths in interior design. I am great at wall color and window treamtents/fabric. But all of the knick knacks and accessories? You can forget about it! Over-all look and feel is what I can do.

I packaged these up for a cute presentation. I betcha nobody noticed any of my misplaced sprinkles once they were in the bags. Or at least I didn't!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Now that I don't have dozens of cookies I need to make for presents, I am not sure what to do with my time. Maybe I should exercise...or maybe not...
