Without intervention, she will age out of the orphan care system at 16.
Without intervention, she has a 60% chance of ending up trafficked, in prison or committing suicide.
Without intervention, she will be lost.
Natasha* lives in Eastern Europe and she is 12 years old. She likes music and she plays the clarinet! When she grows up, Natasha* hopes to be a hair dresser.
But Natasha* isn't like other 12 year olds. Natasha* is an orphan. Natasha* is alone.
And her greatest wish? To have a real family and to maybe even go iceskating one day.
But without intervention, those dreams and wishes…they don't have a chance of coming true. Without intervention, Natasha* has a .01% chance of being adopted.
But there is hope.
This Chrismas, the Morris family will be going on a Missions Trip. But this is NOT your average missions trip.
Natasha* will be traveling to our house this Christmas. Here, in the United States. In our own home.
She will arrive with the clothes on her back. No suitcase, no possessions, just a seat on a plane and the hope of a family to love her.
When Natasha* is in our home she will be one of us. She will go to church and to the park and she will learn to ice skate. She will sit around a family dinner table and laugh and play games. She will do all the things that you and I take for granted. She will be part of a family.
Without intervention, the statistics predict there is little hope for Natasha*. But we know there IS hope.
Will you be the intervention that Natasha* needs?
Will you change the statistics for just one orphan? Will you wrap your arms around her and tell her she is loved? Will you ensure that Natasha* gets to hear about Jesus and his love for her?
