Baby Bella, Uganda and a Big God!

Recently, Baby Bella (you know, my little business that keeps me way busy?!!) was given the opportunity to reach out to kids that live in Africa!  I was asked to donate monogrammed minky pillows to a very special group of Ugandan children. And of course I said YES!

Now, Baby Bella is no stranger to international customers...in fact just this month we had an order that shipped to France and next week we have an order shipping to Ireland.  But as you can imagine, this group of  international "customers" from Uganda was a bit more special!

Just in case you needed to double check your geography...I hope I wasn't the only one!

I have always loved traveling and ever since I went on my first missions trip (in high school) I have had a special affection for children around the world.  But right now, in my season of life, traveling and doing global mission work is just not realistic.  So when I was given the chance to use my business to be a part of  loving kids on a global scale..I jumped at the chance.

For me, the opportunity to make 7 pillows for children from Uganda was a huge blessing.  It was an affirmation of God's desire to use ALL of who I am. It was an affirmation that God celebrates who I am and isn't waiting for me to be anything else.

Here is a picture of the kids with the Baby Bella pillows.  I promise the pillows look cuter in person, the giraffe print looks a little crazy busy from this angle! 

You see, I was created in HIS image.  That means that all of the quirks that make up unique; like planning events, decorating my house, owning my own business, doing crafts with my 3 year old and monogramming giraffe print pillows...they were all desires given to me by HIM!

 God has plans to use me in mighty ways whether I am making monogrammed baby blankets or leading a bible study! And if ever I doubt that, I will just remember the 7 kids in Africa that are now the proud owner of monogrammed Baby Bella pillows.
