The "Imposible" Design Challenge

Putting together a home...on little or no budget...no big deal right?  It's something that most of us are used to doing on a daily basis.  In fact, there is a whole secret society of those of us that enjoy writing about such activities.  We post our many adventures of decorating or furnishing our homes in hopes of helping others and keeping tack on a dime or less!  We work hard to make everything look perfect and put together, we work hard to make our homes a  place for our families to enjoy and relax...all the while not breaking the bank.

But what about doing that for someone else?  What about completely furnishing and decorating a home for a family of 4 (with one on the way), in less than three weeks?! And what about doing it on absolutely NO budget?  With no "paid" design team, only talented and dedicated volunteers?

Well, I mean to tell you,.. myself, along with lots of other talented gals (and guys) from my church, accomplished the impossible this summer!  We put together a home (in less than three weeks with no budget) that was not only functional but it was to die- for beautiful!

I mean, we didn't just throw together a bunch of random pieces of furniture and call it a day. We completed a make-over worthy of Extreme Home Makeover (Ty, eat your heart out!)...or any of my many favorite HGTV design shows. Although I really wished we had had the budget of Divine Design with my girl Candace Olson,

Oh, but that is another story for another day! Candace if you are reading, I HEART you so bad!

So, anyways, back to the point of this post.  I have been so excited to share with you the before and after pictures of this "impossible" design challenge.  For those of you that are local, you know this project as the "Mission House."   You so generously read all of my emails begging for furniture and decor donations...thank you for being so gracious! And without further ado....
