Birthmother Gift

We’re not allowed to give our birthmother gifts.  Or at least not any gift that could be hocked sold for money.

So this week we are sending our PEM a care package with all the supplies to make her favorite dessert….Sa’mores.  (Clearly her love of all things dessert is why we get along so well)

But when the baby is born, we really want to give PEM a sentimental gift that somehow represents not only our undying gratitude but also our promise to always be a part of each other’s lives.  I think it’s that promise that means the most to our PME.  She wants to know that she won’t be forgotten, she wants to know that she will have the chance to know her biological daughter and she wants needs to know that we love her.
Here are some gifty ideas I found on Etsy.  I like them all and I am thinking I better decide soon!

Necklace by JessicaBe.  The three stones represent the adoptive mother’s birth stone, the birth mother’s birth stone and the baby’s birthstone.  Kinda thinking this is my favorite.
littleshopofbaubles sells this necklace for $35.  It’s the baby’s name and her birthstone.  Of course ours would say Maggie.

I also thought this was cute from KellysCreativeDesign

Much to Ponder,
the NPEM
