Things that make me go Hmmmmm

Do we put together a nursery?
Do we let our friends plan a shower for us?
Do we let our hearts become attached to her?

Every adoption is hard, but open adoption puts a whole new spin on the word “challenging.”  There is no handbook on how to do this and every case is different. But worst of all...there is no one that can say for sure if the whole thing will work out.

Maggie…that’s what we named her, that’s what we named our daughter.  What we don’t know and what we won’t know (until 48 hours after she enters this world) is whether or not THIS baby is OUR Maggie.
