I just wanted to tell you today that you are a great mom. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Just because you are not completly healthy or "normal" right now does not make you a bad or inadequate mother.
I had several people tell me that year that I should give Sydney up, that she shouldn't be around me. These same people were also making comments about Sydney being delayed, which was a direct reflection on my ability as a mother. I understand that our family were concerned for Sydney and that they love her very much, but their words were very hurtful.
You do not have to be perfect to be the mom your kids need. God knew this bump in the road would be here, and he still wanted you to be your son or daughter's mother. There is no one your child needs more than you. Even if some days you cry all day and other days you don't feel like leaving the house, there is still a void that only you can fill in your child's life.
Your situation will change one day and then you can do and be everything you have always wanted to be for your child. But until then, don't beat yourself up,don't compare your daily routine to that of your "normal" friends and don't believe anyone that tells you that you are not good for your baby. It just isn't true.
