One Hour
This post is dedicated to all my girls that still think they can get the best grocery deals by shopping the weekly sale at HEB or whatever grocery store they go to!
Girls, I'm here to tell you that I was a skeptic just like you. I thought that if I shopped the meal deals or in the in-store coupons that I was doing the best that I could with my food budget.
NOT TRUE! I have been clipping coupons for 8 months now and I am living proof of the insane amounts of money you can save. And NO more doing the really confusing "grocery game." I tried that...it was way too time consuming.
Now that we are in the age of "blogging" couponing has never been easier. There are bloggers that do all the work for me. All I do is check my favorite blogs every week and make my grocery list accordingly. They tell me what coupon(s) to use and where to go. I just do it!
I spend about an hour a week getting everything together. That is one hour to get my lists together and grab the coupons that match. One hour and I am saving an average of $70 a week.
One hour a week and I have purchased new furniture for my living room with the extra money saved. One hour a week and I can purchase more fresh produce and meat for my family. One hour a week and I have more money to put in our savings!
So I will just keep beating you down with the truth! Because I love you and I want you to experience the same kind of unbridled joy that I have come to know! All through couponing! And one hour a week.
Here is what I am stocking my pantry up with this week!
Philadephia Cream Cheese $.74
Daisy Sour Cream $.89
Wheat Thins $.89
Ritz Crackers $.99
Kraft Cheese Shreds $99
Nature Valley Granola Bars $1.39
Capri Sun $.99
Green Giant Fresh Steamers $.69
Mustard $.19
Canned Tomatoes $.24
Birds Eye Frozen Vegetables $.44

I double dare you to tell me that your kids don't eat crackers or you can't use cream cheese in recipes or dips! What about mustard on sandwhiches or keeping stocked up with canned tomotoes? And just try and tell me you couldn't use frozen vegetables ready and waiting in your freezer for a last minute meal?
If you are familiar with Dave Ramsey (you know I am a big fan!) then you know the whole idea is to save up for what you know you will need in the future. To have a stock pile of money (or food) ready at your disposal! That is the whole idea behind couponing. NOT to help you shop for that particular week!
Ok, I will get off my soap box for today! But really...how much is an hour of your time worth?
