Don't you wish you were coming over for dinner or perhaps a cup of tea? It would be so much fun!
But oh how I wish I had talked to my friend Annette last week....I might have been able to have you over for tea.
Annette is a friend from church and I like to say she is like an onion. Everytime you think you "know her" another layer gets peeled back! She has been a truck driver, EMT and now teaches biology at a low income middle school. She was once homeless (literally) and she met her husband Henry on E Harmony. Her background is as eclectic as I would imagine a Paris Flea Market to be!
So without further ado...here are some remedies Annette shared with me on how to reduce a fever!
- Pickle Juice. Apparently the vinegar and salt help fevers to go down and low and behold wouldn't you know...my daughter loves pickles. Totally could have tried that one!
- Warm Water and a bit of rubbing alcohol mixed together work magic to reduce a high fever. Simply wet a wash cloth and rub on the face and neck!
For my sinus infection she recommended: - Making a steam facial out of hot water, lemon and salt. Simply put a towel over your head and the bowl of water and breath in. But be careful not to burn yourself!
That's all the news from my house. Can you tell I am about ready to go crazy?
