Wow, was I feeling sorry for myself or what yesterday? Thankfully, God's mercies are new every morning and today is a much better day already!
I would also like to suggest that if you are having an emotionally challenging day that you do NOT rent and watch the movie "PS I Love You." I don't want to give anything away in case you haven't seen it, but I cried through the entire thing. Maybe I should have watched a comedy or something!
My favorite bible teacher, Beth Moore says this in her new study on Esther:
"You cannot amputate your history from your destiny. Your destiny is tied to your history."
I am so thankful that we have such an empowering God. My destiny is somehow tied to my experience of a terrible depression that lasted way too long and my inability to be the mom I wanted to be during that time. If God can use my experience to bring him praise then I can certainly keep writing this blog!
As Paul said, "Forgetting what is behind, I press forward."
